Group/Centre-Based Activities
Overview
NDIS group-based activities are structured programs that promote social inclusion, build confidence, and develop everyday life skills. Participants can join recreational, educational, and community activities such as science experiments, art, sport, cooking, coffee-making, science workshops, and social outings to reduce isolation and strengthen social connections.
Activity-based programs offer structured sessions in specialised settings, including cooking, budgeting, science, arts and crafts, and music therapy. Community-based programs focus on outings and shared experiences such as group fitness, beach days, bowling, and day trips.
Life skills workshops provide practical support with communication, public transport, and building peer connections.

Why choose ANS?
Contemporary facilities – Our centres (centres opening soon ask our staff for dates) are welcoming, inclusive spaces with areas for arts and crafts, sensory activities, games, computers, and accessible outdoor activities. They are designed to support learning, creativity, and connection, with these facilities expected to be available within six months.
Flexible activity options – We offer programs across the week, including daytime and early evening sessions. Depending on their NDIS plan and interests, participants can attend part-time or on multiple days. Seasonal changes also help keep activities fresh and engaging.
Participant-led programs – Our programs are shaped by participant feedback and aligned with individual goals. We focus on choice, independence, and capacity building so each participant stays at the centre of their experience.
Transport support – At many locations, we can help with transport, including accessible vans for group activities and outings.
