NDIS Mentoring

Building confidence, independence, and meaningful life skills.

Empowering You To Thrive

At Australian National NDIS Services, mentoring means walking alongside people as they recognise their strengths, overcome challenges, and build confidence in daily life.

Our mentoring service supports people to develop practical life skills, strengthen community connections, and grow their independence. Although we are not an NDIS-registered provider, representative, partner, or affiliate of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), we work collaboratively with participants, support coordinators, and plan managers to deliver person-centred, high-quality supports that complement existing services.

Developing skills. Supporting well-being.

Mentoring That Supports Your Goals

At Good Company, mentoring is more than guidance. It means walking alongside you as you work towards your goals, build confidence, and develop the skills that matter most in your everyday life.

Our NDIS Mentoring service supports both practical skill development and personal growth. Each session is tailored to your goals, circumstances, and preferred pace, helping you take meaningful steps towards greater independence.

Our Approach

We use a practical, well-rounded approach that focuses on developing both hard and soft skills. Participants are encouraged to guide their own learning based on what feels most useful and relevant to their individual situation.

Good Company mentors support this process by helping participants identify, access, and navigate tools and resources that build confidence, capability, and self-sufficiency over time

Skill development: Building practical and interpersonal skills for everyday life.

Personal growth: Strengthening confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.

Goal achievement: Setting realistic goals and working towards them step by step.

Community engagement: Supporting participation in social, recreational, volunteer, or community activities.

What Is NDIS Mentoring?

NDIS mentoring is a capacity-building support that helps people strengthen decision-making, build independence, and develop everyday skills with greater confidence.

Mentoring can include setting meaningful goals, learning strategies for managing daily tasks, exploring pathways to work or volunteering, and building confidence to participate more actively in community life.

Because mentoring is flexible, the support can adapt as your goals, priorities, and circumstances change.

How We Support You

Our mentoring is flexible, supportive, and participant-led. We focus on what matters most to you, combining practical guidance with encouragement so you can build skills in ways that feel relevant, achievable, and useful in everyday life.

Soft Skills

Soft skills are personal qualities and interpersonal abilities that help you communicate, relate to others, and manage everyday situations more effectively. While some soft skills may come naturally, they can also be strengthened through practice, guidance, and real-life experience.

Examples of soft skills include:

Communication: Building interpersonal skills for stronger relationships.

Time management: Organising tasks, routines, and responsibilities more effectively.

Adaptability: Responding to change and challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

Problem-solving: Developing practical strategies to work through obstacles.

Hard Skills

Hard skills are practical, measurable abilities that support independence and participation in daily life. These skills are developed according to each participant’s goals, barriers, and the activities they want to engage in.

Where appropriate, we encourage the use of accredited training providers and work with participants to create a connected, supportive learning experience. Examples of hard skills include:

Financial literacy: Managing budgets, expenses, and everyday money decisions.

Technology use: Navigating computers, devices, and digital tools with confidence.

Public transport navigation: Building confidence and independence when travelling.

Daily living skills: Strengthening self-care, household routines, and practical everyday tasks.
